The Inland Empire problem

Sun, dust, and freeway grit are hard on a finish.

Between the Cajon Pass winds, 210 freeway fallout, and relentless direct sun, paint out here takes a beating that coastal cars never see. Most finishes don't fail all at once — they fade, etch, and swirl until one day the car just looks tired.

A wash doesn't fix that. Correction and protection do — and there's no reason you should have to drop your car off for a week to get it.

  • Hard water spotting

Minerals bake into clear coat and etch permanently if left through a summer.

  • Swirl marks

Automatic tunnels and dirty towels leave a spiderweb haze that dulls every color.

  • UV oxidation

Reds and blacks chalk out first, and once clear coat fails, only paint fixes it.

  • Rail dust & fallout

Industrial iron particles embed in the surface and rust from the inside out.

What we do

Three levels of care.

Every job starts with the same intake and inspection. Where it goes from there depends on what your paint actually needs.

The lab method

How an appointment runs.

We arrive with our own power, water, lighting, and filtration — everything needed to work to shop standards inside your garage.

  1. We arrive

We set up in your garage, walk the car with you, and photograph the starting condition.

  2. Diagnosis

Paint depth readings under our own inspection lighting show what's correctable and what isn't.

  3. Correction

Decontamination, then machine polishing in stages until the finish reads clean.

  4. Protection

Coating applied in your closed garage, cured on site, then walked through with you before we pack up.

Same panel, same light. On the left, clear coat full of swirls scattering every reflection. On the right, the same paint after the defects are polished out.

Credentials

Trained where detailers get trained.

I'm a master detailer, trained with Detailing Success in Big Bear Lake — one of the longest-running hands-on training programs in the trade.

That matters because most of this work can't be judged from the outside. You can't see whether clear coat was measured before a machine touched it, or whether a coating went onto properly prepped paint. Formal training is how you know the steps you're paying for actually happened.

Questions

Straight answers.

How long does a ceramic coating actually last?

It depends on the product and how the car is maintained. The coatings we install carry multi-year warranties, but that assumes proper washing and an annual inspection. A coated car run through a tunnel wash every week will not reach its rated life.

Do I need paint correction before a coating?

Almost always, yes. A coating locks in whatever is underneath it — including swirls and etching. Skipping correction means sealing in the defects for years. On a brand-new car, a light single-stage polish may be enough.

How long will you have my car?

Your car never leaves your driveway — we work around it where it sits. Detailing runs 3–5 hours, correction is typically a full day, and a correction-plus-coating package usually spans 2–3 days with cure time in between. We confirm the schedule before any work starts.

What do you need from me on the day?

Garage space with room to open the doors and walk around the car, and access to a standard outlet. We bring our own water, lighting, filtration, and everything else. For coating work the car needs to stay in the closed garage overnight while it cures.

Can you remove every scratch?

No, and anyone who says otherwise is selling something. If a scratch catches your fingernail, it's usually through the clear coat and needs paint, not polish. We measure first and tell you exactly what's correctable.

Can you really do coating work outside a shop?

Yes — a closed residential garage is a controlled space, and we bring our own inspection lighting, filtration, and power to it. What matters for a coating is a clean, dust-settled, temperature-stable environment, and your garage with the door down gives us exactly that. We won't apply a coating in the open air or in wind, and we'll say so if conditions on the day aren't right.

What areas do you serve?

We're based in Rancho Cucamonga on historic Route 66 and travel to customers across Upland, Ontario, Fontana, Alta Loma, Etiwanda, Claremont, Rialto, and the surrounding Inland Empire. If you're a little outside that, ask — we'll tell you straight whether the drive works.
